A fantastic early Divided Back Era (circa 1907-1915), embossed, original vintage postcard. Featuring Santa Claus wearing a long green coat with fur trim, blue shirt, dark purple or black pants, and a red hat with fur trim! Santa is loaded down with gifts and goodies. He holds a walking stick in one hand and a large cookie in the other. He has a Christmas Tree on his back and a drum and horn peeping over his shoulder. His pocket is filled with apples and another cookie. There is a satchel over his shoulder and a doll at his waist. GORGEOUS gold highlights throughout! OUTSTANDING! The caption reads, 'A Merry Christmas'. Series 980. Printed in Germany! Measures approximately 3.5 x 5.5 inches. An excellent vintage postcard with outstanding graphics!
